A few days back I was walking down the streets of Beverly Hills where my office was, and two friends walked by me and one said to the other “Sooner is better, but it’s never too late. That’s my advice to you.” I don’t know what they were talking about, but I realized it didn’t really matter because that advice could be applied to anything.
I had an interesting conversation with Rich Lazarra about entrepreneurs and we talked about the fact that many people don’t take action. They end being part of the “should have, would have, could have club.” It’s really not some place you want to be. I’m not a big believer in regret. In all honesty, I had so much free time when I was in Brazil that I could have spent building this blog, and I didn’t. But, I ended up doing it at some point.
Make a list of your “should haves” and find the easiest ones to execute today. Start taking action on them. I think you’ll find that it’s absolutely true that “sooner is better, but it’s never too late.”
