Free Wordpress Blog Setup

This is a new service that I wanted to offer to those of you looking to get started with your own Wordpress blog. First there are some conditions to getting your free wordpress blog. You will have to purchase a 1-year hosting plan through this link. This way I get an affiliate commission, you get your blog setup and we both win. Otherwise, I’m just slave labor and that’s not exactly an efficient or economic use of time.  Once you have purchased your domain and hosting package, I’ll do the following for you:

1) Wordpress Installation: I’ll take this off your hands so you can start thinking about what’s really important, content development. In fact while I offload this from you I recommend you start writing content so that your ready to go when the blog is setup.

2) Theme Selection: You have the choice of one of the many free wordpress themes that are available to you. I’ll set up the theme of your choice. I recommend Thesis because it offers the most flexibility, clean design and comes search engine optimized out of the box. My blog utilizes the thesis theme and almost every major blog does as well.

3) Layout Customization: I’ll expect you to provide the content for your About Page and any other page you want to add to your navbar. Once The content is setup, I’ll do a basic layout for you and clean things up. This won’t include any graphic design/colors. I’m not a designer so I wouldn’t try to sell you on my design skills. I recommend you considering having somebody design a logo for you or work on designing it yourself.
