Wow, that is an intense marketing campaign. I thought I was really starting out well with five posts, one hundred comments, and one guest post per week. You’re challenging my expectations… a good thing in all ways.

I hope you’re able to follow-through with everything here. No doubt you’ll create some fantastic results is you do. Looking forward to following your process here.

Looks like you’ll have a very busy schedule. 5 posts per week + 2 guest posts per week is already a lot of work, so congrats.

Nice one! It looks a lot like my own. I’m going to work my face off promoting and building my own blog, because I love it. When you find your passion it’s easy to work til your face is gone!

Bond Christian,

I think that as you get more advanced with this practice of blogging you will find that you get more aggressive and goals that seem challenging at first will actually become easier. I even think you could adopt my marketing plan. The reason I shared it was so people could take bits and pieces and learn from it.

Oscar,

I think going through this exercise really was about getting myself more focus. I figure I have an MBA, maybe it’s time I started using it. I have a guest post I submitted for problogger that outlines this entire process in detail. I the posting schedule is easy to keep up with for me. It’s the strategy and following through on all of it that’s time consuming.

Henri,

I highly recommend you create a formal, written down marketing plan for your efforts because you will be much more organized and get where you want to go much faster. It will help you avoid trial and error. Feel free to steal this one and adapt it accordingly :)

Damn, now that’s some serious dedication. I wish I had the time for that as well. Need to drop out of uni or stop partying to fit that in. Hmm… guess I’m dropping out lol. Well, hope you get all that fulfilled, then I’ll definitely see you up with the A-listers popping champaign sometime in the future. Just don’t forget about us little guys :P Cheers!

Robby,

Believe it or not I will have to pull this off along side a real job (fingers crossed). It’s really about making the time and being committed enough to want to live on your own terms.

Hey Srini!

It’s looking good! I suggest focusing more on the blog building objectives than the monetization methods. From what I’ve found, the fastest growing Internet businesses are the ones that don’t monetize early on.

That sounds pretty cool. I reckon if you can follow through on this for six months, as well as keeping your content up to a high standard on your blog, your growth will hit new heights.

Srini, thanks for sharing this! I enjoyed seeing your goals and got some great ideas for ways to increase my own efforts. I think the fact that you’re willing to share your goals/methods of achieving them is just another example of the self-lessness of social media and blogging. Love it.

Henri December 14, 2009 at 7:41 am

@Srini, I think you’re right. I should formalize and write things down. We’ll see if I get to that. It’s on my list! ;)

@Gordie: Per our chat yesterday I”m already moving into execution mode on many of these things. That’s what’s amazing about writing it down. You come up with new ideas.

@Jenny: I’m glad to share this stuff with you guys. I think the mentality you have to have that there is more than enough to go around.

@Henri: Let me know when you put up your plan. I’ll be glad to share my feedback :)

Whew! Intense amount to actually pull off, good work! No rush though! Blog based businesses are inclined for slow growth

Srinirao-

Just ran across this – it’s a great strategy and very inspiring. It’s funny that I’m a marketing professional, but I never really thought about creating a marketing plan for my own blog. Thanks so much for sharing! I’m excited to hear the results from your efforts!
