Thank you! p.s. I know what those band auditions are like. I played flute for 13 years, starting when I was 9. Every winter, I did the same thing as you and started auditioning for all the clinics: All County, All District, All Region, All State. I always sat the first three. One year I got alternate for All State. I was too blame for my lack of success with All State: I didn't practice much and just relied on natural gift. I took my talent for granted. It's a shame, but I can't change that now. Good on you for sticking with it and claiming 1st chair. Well done! This post spoke to me right where I am today. Thank you!
