Great post Josh. So true. “I wish” is dangerous territory. Reading “The War of Art” right now and this hits right on the resistance tendency Pressfield goes after in the book.

Zoli, thanks for the kind words. It’s good to know, because I’ve met a couple of librarians that can lift more weight than I can.

Accepting this whole mess has taken a long time. The good attitude I have today has been around for about 2 of the last 10 years. But better late than never, right?

I believe that you’re not just the world’s strongest librarian because of the kettlebells, and stuff. Living with Tourette’s, and even accepting that is something even more. I respect you for what you do.

Thanks for writing the post. I would hardly call your name shabby . You’ve made some really great points here. It’s interesting that people rarely make the distinguishing between wanting and wishing. Wishing seems to come from a place of doubt that what they would like in their lives probably won’t happen.
