Great points... I'd like to zoom in on Points 4, 8, 9 and 10 because I think they are crucial!

As personal development bloggers, we need to constantly upgrade ourselves... by reading (books/other blogs)... attending seminars... listening to audio programs... watching videos... and we need to observe the world around us for interesting things to write about.

Some of my best posts come about from observations of the world! And simple things can be extremely profound...

I think this is verging on a very important aspect of being a personal development blogger: marketing. Not many seem to understand. Thankfully, I have experience in internet marketing, and it really does make a massive difference online.

Maybe you should expand the site a little and include a section for others in the personal development niche. Use it to discuss some basic marketing strategies and techniques.

If you really believe in the quality of your advice, then surely you want it to reach as big and as targeted an audience as possible. This is where marketing your website(s) come in. Without that, you're only being discovered by 'luck', so to speak.

Great article by the way!

Thank you for a very informative site.
I enjoyed your tips about just writing to your blog every day. I have found it difficult to post everyday but your simple but wise tip is much appreciated.

Thanks again.

I saw your post on the forum. I want to try and write at least everyday and then post three times a week. I don't want to bombard my readers with so much stuff that they won't have time to read any of it. But I see what you're saying. I really appreciate the advice. I just started my PD blog and I won't give up. I hope to be as prolific as Babauta and Pavlina.

Thanks for the post.

Some good tips here!

I'm definitely going to read some of my old posts, as I've been meaning to for a while (I think of that once every few weeks, and promptly forget it. But now you made we write it down so I don't forget)!

Also, once my exams are over and my schedule clears up, I'll give the "write every day" tip a try, which is something I've meant to try for ages.

Personally, I think the way to become a prolific personal blogger is to...

Have fun with. Always be on the lookout for new interesting things you can apply to your life. And when something works for you, blog about it!

Cheers!

Great pointers here, especially the one on mindmap. I've used that technique man times when I wanted to brainstorm. It's also useful for prioritizing.
