10 Pieces of music that will elevate your mood

Music is one of the greatest loves of my life. It has a profound impact on us in so many way. If you watch a movie without a soundtrack it can fundamentally alter your perception of every scene. It’s what adds the emotion to the magic of movies.  So, I wanted to share with you 10 songs that seem to elevate my mood. Hopefully they’ll do the same for you.

1.Carlo Dallanese-Monday: This song has forever cemented the image of  Brazil in my mind because it was played at every single party I went to in Brazil and for some reason always made me feel an unexplainable sense of joy

2. Gui Boratto-Beautiful Life: I’d heard this song before, but never realized who sang it until yesterday. In fact it inspired the idea for this post.

3. Carlo Dallanese-Bring the Dawn: This is also another recent discovery  because of a few youtube searches. I think you’ll find it to be another piece of music to elevate your mood.

4. Jesus Jones-Right Here Right Now: The message of this song is a great personal development lesson on the importance of presence.

5. Katrina and the Waves-Walking on Sunshine: This is a totally cheesy 80′s song, but I cant’ help but feel overcome with powerful energy every time I here this.

6. Ziggy Marley-Love is my Religion: The lyrics of this song deserve a blog post of their own, but I decided to share it with you before I write the blog post.

7. The Outfield-Winning it All: The Outfield is pretty much synonymous with cheesy 80′s music, but Winning it All was the theme song of an NBA championship sometime in the early 90′s.

8. Van Halen-Jump: I guess you could save I love the eighties. This is another song that seems to really get your blood pumping.

9. U2- The City of Blinding Lights: I’ve always loved U2, regrettably only seen them in concert once, and vow not to miss their next tour.

10. Michael Jackson-Black or White: Given the unfortunate events of yesterday, I think it would be wrong to leave out the accomplishments of the king of pop.  Thriller was the first tape I ever listened to on a walkman, and I played it over and over again till it stopped working. My tremendous love for music began with that tape. Rest in Peace MJ.. Your music has touched humanity.

Thanks for the list of songs! I listened to a few of them and my favorite will have to be MJ's Black or White. I'm not a fan but he really had an impact in the music world that is undeniable.

Wonderful selections... all of them! Had you posted this already before we got the news about MJ yesterday?

I'm just curious if it was yet another case of synchronicity.

Thanks for sharing these fantastic videos!

Lisis

Dani: Glad you liked the music :).

Lisis: I wrote it after the MJ news, but oddly enough I came up with the idea earlier in the day when I heard one of the songs. Then as I was surfing I came up with the rest.

I SO needed this today. I'm in kind of a blah mood and these songs perked me right up. Thank you!
